Jedi Josh

Thank Janae for this blog title--it was all her idea! (Actually, her idea was Jedi Erik, and I just co-opted the name--it's more alliterative anyway.)

Disneyland this week--and by my count we had 6 adults, 7 cell phones, and 7 children. We also had SNACKS! After getting the go-ahead from the Stephensons (no celery or organic raisans for the Risks!), we stocked up on mini-Ritz & Cheeze Whiz sandwiches, Oreos, Scooby Snacks, and Capri Suns. I think we shocked Dad's cholesterol levels to no end. It really was a rather relaxing time there--but the one thing the two boys (Josh & Erik) wanted to do was go to the Jedi training program. After 2 attempts, I saw that we needed something very visible to catch the attention of the Jedi "Master" to get chosen. Thus, the plates from lunch were changed into signs. Yes, our two little Jedi's were chosen, and ended up fighting Darth Vader.

We did all things Disney--from the Carosel (where we had to pry Megan's fingers off of the pole), to Space Mountain (everyone but Megan went on it--even Claire and Mom), to the Aladin stage show, to the Screamer (Mom went on 1 time, and Tre' went on it 11 times). It was a very laid back trip, which we really enjoyed. Thanks for letting us crash the party Jeff, Janae, and family!
